Above: 37675 rusts peacefully in the sun, whilst a small tree grows in front of 37684. 56100 suffers from vandalism having its front windows smashed, not a good use for a potentially useful asset. Opposite: Large rust patches on the side of 37898.

37684 rests amongst the undergrowth

Large numbers of withdrawn and stored locomotives currently litter the yard at Margam. Residents include 09011, 09015, 09020, 09102, 37403, 37412 37413, 37415, 37428, 37669, 37670, 37675, 37684, 37692, 37698, 37704, 37798, 37890, 37896, 37898, 56062, 56100 and 60033. Most of the locomotives have been in open storage for many years now and nature is starting to take hold, with small trees starting to grow out of any available foothold.
